Justin Timberlake can’t stop the music even when he’s feeling under the weather.

The pop star, 43, took to this Instagram on Saturday to lay down an acoustic version of his new single Selfish, despite battling the flu.

Rocking a cool cream cardigan and strumming a guitar, the former NSYNC crooned his first solo song since 2018.

‘Still getting over the flu which makes it silly to sing so excuse the raspy voice but messing around with an acoustic version of SELFISH,’ he wrote in the caption.

The acoustic clip comes after Justin appeared to take a dig at his ex Britney Spears during his New York concert when he told the audience: ‘I’d like to take this opportunity to apologise, to absolutely f***ing nobody.’

He was seemingly hitting back at Spears’ recent apology to him for writing about their relationship in her memoir.

The remark was also made before he began performing Cry Me A River, a 2002 break up song which he wrote about Britney.

The Toxic hitmaker appeared to hit back, as she took to her Instagram account to write: ‘Someone told me someone was talking s**t about me on the streets !!!’

‘Do you want to bring it to the court or will you go home crying to your mom like you did last time ??? I’m not sorry !!!’

Last week, after Justin released Selfish, Britney’s fanbase responded by sending her 13-year-old bonus track by the same name skyrocketing up the charts, ultimately dethorning him on U.S. iTunes.

Following the move, Britney took to social media to praise Justin’s new music and apologise for ‘some of the things’ she said in her memoir, The Woman In Me.

According to one insider, Britney felt extreme guilt over the fallout that her former partner faced in the wake of her book’s publication – having been unaware of what a commotion her confessions would spark.

A source exclusively revealed to DailyMail.com: ‘She didn’t realize how powerful her words would be.

The singer, 43, showed little remorse for his part in the feud, as he told fans at his concern: 'I'd like to take this opportunity to apologise, to absolutely f***ing nobody'

Somebody who attended the gig reported that Justin made the remark just before performing Cry Me A River, a 2002 break up song which he wrote about Britney

‘Regarding what she said in her book, she never intended for people to come after Justin in the way that they did.

‘Ultimately it was Britney’s decision to abort her baby. It was her body and had she really wanted to say no, she could have.’

Sunday saw Britney extend an olive branch to her ex after she apologized on Instagram for ‘some of the things’ she wrote, while also praising Justin’s two new songs Selfish and Sanctified.

Selfish already made headlines after Britney’s fanbase responded by sending her 13-year-old bonus track by the same name skyrocketing up the charts, ultimately dethorning him on U.S. iTunes.
