HELEN Flanagan has been cruelly “home-shamed” after making a controversial decision.

It has been a tough week for the former Coronation Street star, 33, who admitted she was “a mess” after her courtesy car broke down.

Helen had been in the new vehicle after recently crashing her 70k Audi.

Meanwhile, fans spotted a “disgusting” detail in the background of another of her snaps.

Now the Rosie Webster actress has faced more flack for her latest Instagram video.

It showed Helen and her kids in matching festive pyjamas as they took delivery of a Christmas tree.

The ITV soap favourite – who split with ex fiance Scott Sinclair, 34, last year is proud parent to Matilda, aged seven, Delilah, aged five, and Charlie, aged two.

She appeared determined to give them a good Christmas – getting the festivities kick-started early.

Chuffed Helen wrote in her Instagram caption: “This year I decided to spend some quality time with the kids and decorate the tree ourselves and it’s finally up, we ordered a Christmas In A Box from @thechristmascompany_

“We followed their online tutorials on how to decorate and I think we did a pretty good job link on my stories.”

Helen’s huge new home addition sits in the corner of her neutral-coloured lounge, adding a significant pop of colour.

The tip almost reaches to the ceiling and the star and her brood opted for a host of multi-coloured baubles and a huge red ribbon spread across the length of the tree.

A sprig of red berries sits at the top to finish off the Christmassy-feel.

Yet fans were quick to home-shame the star’s early decorations, with one sarcastically writing: “Finally up mid November. Hahahaha.”

Another ranted: “Surely it’s not a novelty to decorate you own tree? And ooh it’s got a box you can it it back in. Think most of us have that.”

A third wrote: “U have never decorated ur own tree?? No idea real life.”

Yet the star’s loyal fans came out to defend her, with one writing: “Mines has been up a week and I’m not even sorry.”

Another added: “Love it. Bah humbugs will always be the same no matter the year!!”

Earlier this week, Helen posted an emotional video from inside her broken-down car.

She shared that she’d had a motor malfunction and was stranded in a hire car.

“This isn’t normal. I’ve broke down in my courtesy car,” she said in the video as she wiped tears away from her eyes.

“Why am I just a mess?” she added in text on the video.

Over the weekend, Helen posted another candid video on social media where she revealed that she’d been left without a car after she had a devastating crash in a car park while on a family day out.

The screen star was recently cruelly mum-shamed after posting a sizzling snap.
