Paige Spiranac has claimed she was left off the invitation list for next week’s celebrity golf championship in Tahoe next week because she didn’t give last year’s event enough social media exposure.

The 30-year-old Spiranac is known throughout golf for her social media presence and she took aim at organizers in a recent Instagram story.

‘Everyone keeps asking if I’ll be in Tahoe for the celeb tournament this year but unfortunately I didn’t get invited back,’ she said.

‘Was told I didn’t give them enough exposure on social media. I guess 4 million impressions wasn’t good enough lol.

‘Anyways bummed to miss it! Hope you all have the best time out there.’

The 30-year-old Spiranac is arguably the biggest golfing presence on social media platforms

Spiranac has 3.8million Instagram followes, as well as 1.5m on TikTok and 900,000 on Twitter.

She also has a Threads account which already has 106,000 followers at the time of writing.

 

 

In one of her first posts, she wrote: I’m rebranding myself on Threads. A fresh start. Hi my name is Paige and I am good at golf. That is all.’

The American Century Championship is held at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course next week and runs through from July 12-16.

NFL stars Aaron Rodgers and Josh Allen are scheduled to compete in the event, as well as NBA heroes Charles Barkley and Vince Carter.  Boxer Canelo Alvarez is also competing.

Last year, Spiranac finished Tied 24th and Tony Romo won it.
