Britney Spears has apparently had a change of heart after recently deactivating her Instagram account.

Two days after she shut down rumors of a comeback by saying that she would “never return to the music industry,” Spears’ Instagram account vanished on Friday, only to quietly reappear Sunday.

However, the account, which was formerly public, is now set to private mode for followers only.

Instagram’s “temporary deactivation” feature allows users to hide their account for a period of time, while still preserving comments, likes and follower count, although it cautions this feature can only be employed “once a week.” Spears currently has 42.7M followers.

It’s unclear what caused Spears to choose to deactivate; however, on Jan. 3, she posted a long statement debunking any rumors that she might be working on a new album to be released under her name.

“Just so we’re clear most of the news is trash!!!” she wrote. “They keep saying I’m turning to random people to do a new album… I will never return to the music industry!!! When I write, I write for fun or I write for other people!!!”

She continued, “For those of you who have read my book, there’s loads that you don’t know about me… I’ve written over 20 songs for other people the past two years!!! I’m a ghostwriter and I honestly enjoy it that way!!! People are also saying MY BOOK WAS RELEASED WITHOUT MY APPROVAL ILLEGALLY and that’s far from the truth… have you read the news these days??? I’m so LOVED and blessed!!!”
