The Toxic artist claimed that her father Jamie Spears forced her into an extraordinarily horrible and unwanted diet for almost two years. Britney Spears claimed in her memoir that the diet was miserable as she was allowed to eat nothing but chicken and canned vegetables. The singer also claimed that, two years of preserving that diet and being denied anything else felt degrading.

Britney Spears who was recently in a controversy for her messy divorce with Sam Asghari has found a fresh new topic to get back into. The Baby One More Time singer alleges in her memoir The Woman in Me, that her father Jamie Spears forced her into a terribly strict diet for almost two years. The limited food choices that only included chicken and canned vegetables made Spears feel terrible. She wrote:

“So for two years, I ate almost nothing but chicken and canned vegetables…Two years is a long time to not be able to eat what you want, especially when it’s your body and your work your soul making the money that everyone’s living off of. I found it so degrading.”

The If You Seek Amy star revealed that she would beg her butler for real food but got refused every time. She wrote her experience: “I’ll be honest, I was f**king miserable.” For Spears, the conservatorship was a traumatic and controlling experience that she forcefully sustained for several years. The Circus singer wrote: “Two years of asking for french fries and being told no. I found it so degrading.” Despite working out and following the diet, Britney Spears ended up gaining weight that her father never wanted.

Throughout her forceful diet, Britney Speras was supposed to lose weight but she ended up gaining way too much that no one would have expected. She describes this as a horrible experience as her father made her feel ugly even after Spears worked out. The Sometimes artist mentioned:

“Even though I wasn’t eating as much, he made me feel so ugly and like I wasn’t good enough. Maybe that’s because of the power of your thoughts: whatever you think you are, you become.”

Britney Spears strictly followed the diet and witnessed that she turned into an ugly individual after her father made her feel that way. However, the Grammy Award winner mentioned that she surrendered to following what her father wanted as he stressed that it was all out of love for her. She wrote:

“My body was strong enough to carry two children and agile enough to execute every choreographed move perfectly onstage, and now here I was, having every calorie recorded so people could continue to get rich off my body.”
