Travis Kelce has had a bit of a slow start to the 2024 campaign with the Kansas City Chiefs, as he has racked up just 15 catches for 158 yards and no touchdowns through his first four games of the season.

While Kelce showed signs of life with a seven-catch, 89-yard performance in the Chiefs Week 4 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, fans are concerned that it may have been a one-off performance, especially with Rashee Rice set to miss time now.

One guy who isn’t worried is former Chiefs star tight end Tony Gonzalez. The Hall of Famer fully believes that Kelce has turned the corner, as he warned the rest of the league that one of the league’s most dangerous pass-catchers is about to get going.

Kelce is getting older and endured some dry spells last season, so it makes sense as to why some folks are concerned with his lack of production to begin the season.

Gonzalez is not a part of that crowd, as he believes Kelce’s strong showing in Week 4 proved he still has some gas left in the tank, and it also helps that he has Patrick Mahomes under center throwing him the football.

Time will tell if Gonzalez is right, and if the Chiefs intend on pushing their record to 5-0 in Week 5, they will need a vintage Kelce performance in order to help them do so.
