Durban-based businessman Moses Tembe, who was Anele “Nelli” Tembe’s father says he feels pain for Kiernan “AKA” Forbes’ family.
MOSES TEMBE: ‘I WOULD LIKE TO VISIT THE FAMILY’
The father of Kiernan “AKA” Forbes’ late fiancee Anele “Nelli” Tembe tells Daily Sun that he’d like to visit the rapper’s home to convey condolences.
“I would like to visit his home and convey our condolences in person. As a parent, I feel pain for Kiernan’s parents (Tony and Lynn), his daughter Kairo and the family at large.”
Tembe’s statement comes after some tweeps blamed Anele’s family and even accused Moses Tembe of avenging his daughter as they believe AKA had something to do with Nelli Tembe’s d@@th.
According to the publication he also said on Saturday, 11 February that anyone who truly knew him and his family would not spread rumours.
“We’ve never judged Kiernan, and we demonstrated our love for him to the very last day. We are saddened by this sad eventuality as it robs us of the opportunity we have been waiting for so patiently to vindicate our daughter in court or inquest.”
Tembe also calls on South Africans to show compassion and give the family space, time, and respect on all platforms.
AKA ‘WARNED PRIOR d@@th’
A source has told Sunday Times that the rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes was warned several times to not come to Durban before he got shot on Friday, 10 February at Wish restaurant.
“I don’t know whether you say it was arrogance, or if he [AKA] was just hard-headed, but he and people around him had been told that he must not set foot in Durban,” the source said.
“This wasn’t the first time [since Anele’s d@@th] that he was in the city, but before he was always low-key about this presence,” the source added.
The police in Durban revealed they are looking into a person of interest, who might be behind the murder of award-winning rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes.
Police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda, who didn’t want to divulge too much information told City Press “It is still early in our investigation and the team is yet to brief me. I know they are following some leads.”
Fans of the musician are still paying tribute to talented rapper, who was killed ‘execution style’ when gunmen opened fire on him and Motsoane at the restaurant.
