Donna Kelce holds up photos of her sons, Jason Kelce #62 of the Philadelphia Eagles and Travis Kelce #87 of the Kansas City Chiefs at Footprint Center on February 6, 2023 in Phoenix, Arizona

Donna isn’t joking when she says she doesn’t root for one son more than the other. During the NFL Wild Card games in 2022, in which both Jason and Travis were playing in and on nearly opposite coasts, Donna traveled 1,300 miles to see both her sons compete in their respective playoff games on the same day.

The NFL’s official Twitter account documented Donna’s journey, which began in San Francisco, where Jason and the Eagles were facing off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. From there, she took a flight to Kansas City and arrived just in time to surprise Travis at the Chiefs’ post-game press conference.

Travis was clearly surprised when the first question came from his mom, who wanted to know how it felt to finally get a touchdown in a playoff game.

“To finally throw a touchdown like I used to tell my mom when I was like five years old that I was going to eventually throw a touchdown in the National Football League, I finally got it done,” he answered with a smile. “It only took me nine years. That’s a good question though, Mom.”
