Prince William has always set the bar so high when it comes to family. Recently, the royal was seen chatting with Kate’s parents and Zara Tindall on the second day of a high-profile social event. William arrived in a carriage with Queen Camilla and others, kicking off the second day of the glamorous Berkshire track festival. Interestingly, the Prince of Wales and Camilla looked comfortable riding with the Earl and Countess of Halifax. They responded politely to the cheers of the onlookers. This scenario marked the first time Prince William and Camilla joined forces since leading senior royals at the Commonwealth Day. The service took place at Westminster Abbey in March of this year. Additionally, Princess Kate expects to be out of the public eye for a few more months to focus on her health. On the other hand, King Charles appeared in high spirits as he arrived at Royal Ascot. He was in a horse-drawn carriage and was congratulating the winners. Charles, also undergoing cancer treatment, will not attend today but plans to return tomorrow and Saturday.

He wished the contestants luck in chasing the “thrill of a Royal Ascot winner” and had several horses running at the event. In the official program, Charles wrote about the joy of witnessing Desert Hero’s victory in the King George V Stakes last year. They hoped everyone, whether at the racecourse or watching from home, would enjoy the sport’s finest racing. In addition, seven races will take place each day at Royal Ascot.

And guess what? This year’s prize pot totalled a record £10 million! Reflecting on this year’s The Trooping Colour, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams noted something interesting. He believes the late Queen would have been proud of Charles and Kate’s show of unity. “This can be interpreted as a gesture of solidarity and support from Charles to Catherine.” Plus, the royal watcher also highlighted the stress and scrutiny of such public ceremonies.
