WNBA star Cameron Brink lands Sports Illustrated swimsuit deal

Cameron Brink, one of the new stars of the WNBA, has joined the lineup for the 2025 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

The 22-year-old, the second overall pick in the 2024 draft, has previously said she dreamed of working with the iconic magazine.

‘I’ve always loved SI Swimsuit,’ she told Paul George earlier this year. ‘I think it’s super empowering.’

Brink is part of a star-studded cast of female stars in the 2025 issue, including Olympians Gabby Thomas, Suni Lee and Jordan Chiles, as well as world No 1 golfer Nelly Korda.

The Los Angeles Sparks star joined her fellow athletes on the beach in Boca Raton in Florida for the photoshoot.

We are thrilled to launch our shoot season for the 2025 issue with an extraordinary lineup of powerful female athletes,’ MJ Day, SI Swimsuit editor said.

‘This remarkable group, featuring Olympic medalists, world champions, and record holders, embodies the next generation of all-stars poised to transform the world of sports.

‘They defy stereotypes and champion equality, inspiring young girls to envision themselves as both athletes and leaders.

‘At SI Swimsuit, we’ve always celebrated the future of women, and there’s no better way to honor these remarkable achievements than by featuring them on the pages of our issue.’

Brink’s rookie season in Los Angeles was cut short after she suffered a torn ACL in her left knee. The injury also ruled her out of the Paris Olympics.

Thomas, meanwhile, took home two gold medals for Team USA in Paris, winning the 200m gold and helping America win the 4x100m relay.

In gymnastics, Lee won gold in the team competition and bronze in both the individual all-around and the uneven bars. Chiles controversially missed out on bronze in the floor exercise but did help USA win gold in the team final.

Korda cemented herself as the best golfer in the world in 2024 with victory in the Women’s British Open and the Chevron Championship.
