Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes shared a hilarious story about Travis Kelce ignoring his request, only to go through with it once Taylor Swift got him to do so.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have been in a highly-publicized relationship for close to a year now. The Grammy Award-winning singer attended 13 Kansas City games last season, including all three AFC playoff games and their victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 58.

Swift has brought plenty more attention toward the Mahomes and Kelce-led Chiefs, who have cemented themselves as the new golden NFL franchise with three Super Bowl wins over the last five years.

During his appearance on SiriusXM NFL Radio, Mahomes revealed that Kelce ignored one of his requests until Swift convinced the All-Pro tight end to do so.

“I’ve been trying to get him to grow his hair out, and all of a sudden Taylor gets him to do it,” Mahomes said.

Multiple reports indicate that Travis Kelce will soon propose to Taylor Swift. The three-time Super Bowl champion spent some of his offseason time supporting Swift on her Eras Tour in Europe.

Swift essentially confirmed their relationship when she attended the Chiefs’ Week 3 home game against the Chicago Bears in a suite inside Arrowhead Stadium. Kelce hauled in seven receptions for 69 yards and a touchdown in a 41-10 KC victory.

Last season, Kelce caught 93 passes for 984 yards and five touchdowns in 15 games. In the postseason, he was borderline unstoppable with 32 receptions for 355 yards and three touchdowns.

Travis Kelce & Chiefs Aim For First Super Bowl Three-Peat

No team in NFL history has ever won three straight Super Bowls. In fact, only three teams (the 1971 to ’73 Miami Dolphins, 1990 to ’93 Buffalo Bills and the 2016 to ’18 New England Patriots) have played in three straight Super Bowl games.

Kelce and the Chiefs will try to perform the first-ever Super Bowl three-peat this season. And the mission begins with a Week 1 home tilt against reigning MVP Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens on Sept. 5.
