Lil Nas X showed off his ‘pregnant stomach’ as he celebrated his baby shower in a trio of snaps that were shared to his Instagram account on Wednesday.

The rapper, 22, posed at the lavish event – which was complete with balloon displays, cake and even a throne – as he joked ‘about to kick off my baby shower’

The performer later shared a promotional video for his upcoming debut album, Montero, to his account, during which he was seen looking around an empty function after no one showed up.

Does Lil Nas X Have A Son?

Lil Nas X has been known to break the internet once or twice.

The social media sphere went abuzz when the rapper posted a series of photographs on Twitter.

In one of several pictures, Lil Nas X was dressed in a flowy white gown with a bouquet complete with a matching flower crown as he cradled his pregnant stomach; in another picture, he wore a blue suit as he happily devoured a cupcake with his pregnant belly exposed.

In addition to that, Lil Nas X also posted a picture of an ultrasound. He even went so far as to post videos of a baby shower and him in a hospital bed in a delivery room, appearing to give birth.

In the pregnancy post caption, the rapper wrote: “SURPRISE! I can’t believe I’m finally announcing this. My little bundle of joy “MONTERO” is due September 17, 2021.”

Immediately, fans and the media wanted to know what was going on. It seemed unlikely that the Sun Goes Down star was pregnant, but could he be welcoming a child, perhaps?

Rumors then began to circulate online that Lil Nas X had a son and had planned his announcement by appearing pregnant.

Unsurprisingly, it turned out that Lil Nas X was not pregnant.

He later confirmed that he was not having a child with or by anyone. His pregnant belly was merely a result of prosthetics, good editing, and photography.

The truth was that he was announcing the release date of his self-titled album “MONTERO”.

The “That’s What I Want” singer revealed he’s met “well known” men on the exclusive dating app.

In a exclusive interview with People Magazine, Lil Nas X spoke about his controversial decision to appear pregnant to promote his album.

The superstar stated that he initially thought of the idea after hearing one of rapper Megan Thee Stallion’s verses on their song “Dolla Sign Slime” for the “MONTERO” album.

Lil Nas X said he drew inspiration from it and called his stylist to discuss making him look pregnant for a photo shoot. His stylist was receptive and immediately agreed to do it.

The “Day N Vegas” rapper admitted that though he was promoting the album’s release date, it was also done as a joke. He also referenced the album as his baby.
