Gates’ leg was put in a cast and medical staff took him off the field in an ambulance. 

The central midfielder born in 1995 smiled and waved to thank the crowd, after the entire Giants team and Washington players came to wish Nick a quick recovery. The 26-year-old was taken to a local hospital, where he remained overnight.
