If Ben Affleck plans on proposing to Jennifer Lopez for a second time, he may have trouble topping the last engagement ring he bought her, as the show-stopping piece from Harry Winston is now worth an estimated $12 million.

When Ben, 48, first asked JLo, 52, to marry him in 2002, he gave her a 6.1-carat pink diamond in a radiant cut that cost a reported $1.2 million — and it turned out to be quite the investment.

Not only is the couple back together, but the ring is also believed to be worth ten times more than it was nearly two decades ago as the price of the rare colored diamond has soared.

H&T Pawnbrokers expertly values the much-talked-about ring at nearly $12 million, with over a 1,069 percent sale increase since the early 2000s, PopSugar reported.

It’s unclear if Jennifer still has the ring from 2002, but her former publicist Rob Shuter doesn’t think she ever gave the sparkler back to her former fiancé.

‘As far as I know, Jen has never returned the ring!’ he told Access Daily. ‘So if things move forward with these two, gosh she’s already got the most beautiful ring I’ve seen. It’s absolutely stunning.’

Ben and Jen met on the set of their film Gigli in early 2002 when she was still married to her second husband, Cris Judd.

The singer was spotted cuddling and kissing Ben at her surprise 32nd birthday party that July, a month into her separation from Judd. She officially filed for divorce a few days later.

Memories: JLo showed off the spectacular ring at the premiere of their film Gigli
In November 2002, Bennifer, as they were famously dubbed, were visiting his family in Boston when he proposed. The actress revealed their engagement during an exclusive interview with Diane Sawyer.

‘It’s the most magnificent thing I’ve ever seen. I still look at it and kind of marvel at it, you know?’ JLo gushed of her ring. ‘He’s like, “I just wanted you to have something that no one else would have.”‘

Jennifer showed off the spectacular ring on the red carpet at the Gigli premiere in July 2003, but the couple never made it down the aisle. A day before their wedding in September of that year, they announced that they had postponed the ceremony.

By January 2004, it was confirmed that they had split up. She went on to marry Marc Anthony and have twins, Max and Emmy, while Ben wed Jennifer Garner and had three children: Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel.

They have both been linked to other people following their respective divorces, with Ben most recently dating Ana de Armas and Jennifer engaged to Alex Rodriguez.

However, even when Jen was sporting a massive emerald-cut diamond ring from A-Rod, she was still thinking about her engagement ring from Ben.

During an at-home video chat with Dua Lipa and Charli XCX last year, the actress recalled showing her pink engagement ring to Barbra Streisand.

‘I met her at an Oscar party, years ago, and [at the time] I was engaged to Ben Affleck. She’s really into diamonds, which I didn’t know,’ Jennifer recalled. ‘He had given me a pink diamond, which got a lot of press and… whatever. I loved getting it, don’t get me wrong. So, she came up to me, and like, she’s heard of it.

‘I’m like, “Oh My God.” And she’s like, “Can I see your ring?” And she asked me about the ring, but then she asked me — and I thought it was so strange — about being famous, and how I handle it.’

Ben’s choice of diamond has certainly made a lasting impression on Hollywood.

Nick Cannon proposed to Mariah Carey in 2008 with a 17-carat pink and white diamond ring with a 10.02 emerald cut pink diamond by Jacob Arabo of Jacob & Co that was valued at $2.5 million.

Meanwhile, Ryan Reynolds gave Blake Lively a 12-carat pink oval diamond engagement ring designed by Lorraine Schwartz that was estimated to be worth just over $2 million ahead of their 2012 wedding.

There is also a chance that fans may see JLo’s pink diamond engagement ring again as both she and Ben appear to be wearing their old gifts from each other since rekindling their love

In May, shortly after news of their relationship broke, eagle-eyed fans spotted Ben wearing what looked like the same silver watch JLo had gifted him in 2002, which he famously donned during his cameo in the Jenny from the Block music video.

The two have been living it up on their European yacht vacation, where Jennifer was seen wearing a necklace spelling out Ben’s name.

When she shared a bikini photo of herself soaking up the sun on the boat on Friday, fans were quick to notice that she had on a diamond bracelet that looked just like the one Ben gave her 19 years ago.
