Celebrities involved in the entertainment industry with successful releases now possess a tremendous fortune.

A Forbes magazine analysis revealed the celebrities wrestling to secure the top spot of the highest paid in Hollywood. But there is not Dwayne Johnson as many fans expected.

Surprisingly, the list does not include celebrities with the highest-grossing titles of the year, there’s no face from Fast X, The Little Mermaid, or Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 making it into the list. Also, it’s not always the actors that get to secure the top spots rather producers, directors and actors, and personalities from TV also jump up high.

Tyler Perry secured the top spot with the $175 million he earned this year as an actor, producer, director, and screenwriter. Perry’s net worth counts approximately $1 billion.

The masterminds behind the classic American animation South Park which extended to 26 seasons with 325 episodes from 1997, Trey Parker and Matt Stone grabbed the second spot of the highest paid in Hollywood.

The creative duo has made a lucrative deal with HBO Max for The Book of Mormon. As estimated, the total value of South Park is $1 billion. According to reports, new movies, and shows are on the way set in the South Park world.

With a total of $105 million in annual profits, The Simpsons’ Matt Groening and James L. Brooks rank third on the list. Matt Groening-created The Simpsons is also one of the most popular and beloved American shows spanning over record-breaking 34 seasons with 750 since its debut in 1989.

Groening and Brooks earned a whopping fortune for the transfer of The Simpsons to the Disney+ streaming platform.

Brad Pitt and James Cameron Are Little Behind

A-lister Hollywood actor Brad Pitt and director Avatar director James Cameron are a little behind the top three.

Being in the fourth position on the list Pitt earned $100 million this year. Pitt has recently appeared in Bullet Train which grossed over $239 million worldwide on a production budget of around $85.9 to 90 million. According to Forbes, he earned an estimated  $30 million from roles in Bullet Train, Babylon, and The Lost City. However, Pitt earned the most from selling a majority of his shares in his Plan B production company.

The company has created a successful footprint in Hollywood after producing Oscar winners Moonlight, 12 Years A Slave, and Martin Scorsese’s celebrated crime thriller The Departed.

The Titanic director Cameron secures the 5th spot. Cameron has a track record of being the director of the most successful movies. His 1997 classic Titanic, 2009 era-defining sci-fi Avatar and the most recent sequel of the sci-fi, Avatar: The Way of Water have been three of the highest-grossing movies of all time.

With the success of his 2022 movie, Avatar: The Way of Water his fortune jumped the ladder as he earned $95 million from the movie.

As per Box Office Mojo, Avatar: The Way of Water earned $2.1 billion at the global box office, and around $620 million of that total came from domestic viewing.
