The female rapper apologized after taking an advertising photo series imitating the Hindu goddess Durga.

According to  Glamour , while the fight with the police on October 26 had not yet subsided, Cardi B continued to cause controversy with the image advertising a new product line in collaboration with the Reebok brand.

Appearing on the cover of  Footwear News , the 28-year-old rapper was criticized for imitating the image of the Hindu goddess Durga.

In a busty red dress, she had eight additional arms photoshopped. In the middle, the I Like It  singer  holds a shoe to advertise.

“Cardi B did not respect the Hindu god Durga when holding a shoe. This is blasphemy and lack of culture,” one user wrote on Twitter.

“I wonder what their marketing and PR team was thinking when they pulled off this cultural appropriation ad campaign?”, another commented.

A Hindu user said it was very difficult for her to accept this set of advertising photos. “I am a Hindu. We worship Goddess Durga.

Cardi B’s image is not only blasphemous, but also offensive to a billion people of other religions,”  Glamor  quoted the comment.

After the incident, rapper Offset’s wife apologized. “I didn’t mean to offend or disrespect anyone’s culture.

I can’t change what I did but will be more cautious in the future. Love you,” she posted on Instagram Stories.

The female singer affirmed that she was told by the creative director that she would be modeled after a goddess who represents strength, femininity and liberation.

Cardi B thought this was something she loved and aimed for, so she didn’t refuse.

“I want to say sorry if people think I insulted their culture and religion.

I should have done my research first. I don’t want to be someone who insults any religion,” the female singer explained. like more.
