It’s been five long years since Rihanna’s last Fenty x Puma drop — but at long last, the collaboration’s back.

Rihanna released her first style with the athletic brand since 2017 on Friday morning: the Fenty x Puma Avanti C Sneaker (from $160), which comes in men’s, women’s and children’s sizes in black, white and silver.

The athletic shoe features a classic silhouette inspired by Puma’s archives, which Rihanna told Vogue are “incredible” to dig through.

“There is so much history and legacy here, and I wanted to honor that by paying tribute to the Avanti,” she added of the fresh footwear, which fuses elements of the brand’s classic Easy Rider and King — the latter of which Brazilian football player Pelé “played in and made very famous.”

While it’s hardly her first time designing shoes for the label — her Puma design debut in 2015 kicked off with kicks — the mother of two made sure the whole family was included this time with pint-sized offerings: the Fenty x Puma Avanti C Little Kids’ Sneaker ($95) and the Avanti C Toddlers’ Sneaker ($80).

“This time around, we expanded our creations to kids, ’cause I selfishly want my boys in everything their dad and I wear or design,” said the star, who welcomed her second baby with A$AP Rocky in August.

Perhaps it’s only a matter of time before her rapper beau steps out in the Fenty x Puma Avanti C Men’s Sneaker ($160), too. After all, the couple frequently support one another’s business endeavors; prior to welcoming their fashionable firstborn RZA, the Bad Gal stepped out wearing Rocky’s Amina Muaddi collaboration, while he modeled in her Fenty Skin campaign.

And while it remains to be seen whether the “Love on the Brain” singer has new music on the brain for 2024, one thing’s for sure: There’s more Fenty x Puma on the horizon.

A second Avanti drop is scheduled for this fall, per Vogue, in addition to more product launches in the future.
