Hoops fans were left mesmerized as Caitlin Clark and two of her Fever teammates executed a jaw-dropping play during their 100-93 victory over the Dallas Wings at the College Park Center on Sunday. The highlight moment occurred early in the first quarter.
Clark ignited the fast break with an impressive full-court pass to Kelsey Mitchell, who was positioned under the basket. In a brilliant move, Mitchell delivered a no-look, behind-the-back pass. NaLyssa Smith was the final link in the chain, effortlessly finishing the play with a layup for two points.
Social media erupted as fans reacted to one of the season’s most spectacular plays. One fan even described it as “the best in history.”
“The Indiana Fever perform the best play in women’s basketball history vs the Dallas Wings.”
One of the fans brought the greatest point guard in history Magic Johnson into the conversation while applauding the play.
“This was 80’s @MagicJohnson. It’s what made me love the game and it’s what made the NBA to what it is today.”
