After making his entrance in front of a packed crowd at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, Orton slowly made his way into the ring.

The 43-year-old approached the ropes to pose for fans, but opted instead to pause, lowering his head as his emotions took hold.

Orton could be heard saying: “It’s been so long since I’ve done this, I’m just gonna soak it up, just give me a second.”

He then made his way up to the top rope, posing for the roaring crowd.

And fans clearly loved this moment for Orton, with one tweeting: “Was great to see him take it all in. He’s a legend. Deserves all the flowers and more. And we have to make sure he stays healthy. WWE is better with Randy around.”

Another said: “Man that got me. You can tell there was definitely a moment during his recovery where he thought he’d never have this moment again. Damn happy to see him back!”

While one asked: “Anyone else agrees with me that he should break [Ric] Flair’s record?”

Orton’s night began with him calling out The Bloodline, claiming to have unfinished business with every member.

He told the crowd: “I made a career out of putting guys on the shelf, sometimes permanently for over 20 years.

“So maybe I can forgive, but I can’t forget. The point of the matter is I’ve got a bag full of receipts for The Bloodline.”

Orton and Judgement Day member Rhea Ripley subsequently squared off in the ring before he took on J.D. McDonagh and Mysterio.

Afterward, former Bloodline member Jey Uso approached Orton backstage.

Uso vowed to remain distant from The Bloodline before wishing Orton good luck against Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa.
