Stephen A. Smith does not want to call out Dak Prescott like other shows do.

Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys have been under the crossfire since the commencement of the regular season. The quarterback appears to play like a certified Pro-Bowler. However, in certain scenarios, Prescott does not perform as well. This has led to him receiving a lot of criticism from fans and the media, and at times, the criticism turns into hate. Stephen A. Smith of First Take made sure he cleaned the slate regarding what he thinks of Dak Prescott.
The one thing that Stephen A. Smith did was to make sure he was creating an environment conducive to well-being. Stephen A. has said on previous occasions:
You can question Dak's ability without attacking him personally. I know that there have been other folks in the media at other shows...might cross the line.
Dak Prescott has managed to throw for 1,333 yards this season for 6 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. The quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys has been under constant fire for letting his team down at clutch moments. Stephen. A does not like the fact that there are shows that will attack Prescott personally rather than just stop critiquing his game.

Stephen A. Smith has Dak Prescott’s back
Dak has been the best option for the Cowboys for years now, Stephen A. Smith, who is not a fan of the Cowboys made sure that it was clear that he supports Dak Prescott and believes he should be paid.
The analyst stated:
I know that there have been other folks in the media at other shows and stuff like that that might cross the line. It's something...the contributors on this show, we make sure we never do because we're human beings first. We make sure we don't roll like that.

Stephen A. wanted to make sure that Dak Prescott got his share of respect along with the criticism. While Dak has been inconsistent, Stephen A. did not want to see the quarterback be disrespected because he has proven a lot and has done so much for Cowboys fans. This is precisely the reason why Stephen A. decided that he will target the Dallas Cowboys but not their quarterback Dak Prescott in the same manner that other shows do.
