The Cowboys felt the absence of Trevon Diggs in week 3.

After two weeks of dominating the NFL, the Dallas Cowboys suffered a major setback in their third week as they lost against the Arizona Cardinals who were winless before their encounter with the Cowboys. The Dallas players were frustrated after the result and some of them blamed themselves while some put the gun on the media.

Micah Parsons, the linebacker for the Cowboys, blamed themselves for the horrendous display of football on the field. In the post-match interview, the player said, “I think we just beat ourselves. We put ourselves behind the eight ball a couple of times. It just wasn’t championship football. The outcome was definitely shocking. It definitely hurts. I take full ownership.” The LB also added that this week marked a shift in the performance from the earlier weeks.

Parsons further said, “The last two weeks we were on fire and today we came out and we got lit. We got to take on every game like it’s the Super Bowl. We got to play up to our standard. We can’t play down to (Opponents), and that’s what I felt like we did today.”

The Cowboys were defensively too good in the first two games. Against the first game vs the New York Giants, the team went 40-0. In the second game vs the New York Jets, the team gave up only ten points. Overall, in the two games, the Cowboys gave up only ten points and allowed the opponents only for 386 yards. However, against the Arizona Cardinals, the Cowboys gave away 28 points and allowed the opponent for 400 yards. The team also issued 13 penalties for 107 yards. Overall, defensively they disappointed the Cowboys fans.

Some of the analysts are raising their fingers at the absence of Trevon Diggs, who was ruled out for the entire season due to an Achilles injury. The CB was having a good impact on the team and his replacement, DaRon Bland, failed to create that much of an impact as a replacement.

Dak Prescott failed to make his 100th appearance special

The game vs the Cardinals marked the 100th appearance for the Dallas Cowboys’ star quarterback Dak Prescott in the league. He wanted to celebrate the night with a win. However, in reality, things took a drastic turn as the Cowboys lost the game.

Individually, Dak had a decent game as he completed 25 of his 40 passes and covered 249 passing yards. He had one touchdown and an interception. However, his efforts went in vain as the Cowboys failed to clinch what was touted as an easy win.

The Cowboys players disappointed the fans with their offensive capabilities. The inability in the offense line was clear in the game vs. the Cardinals. They were ugly in redzone, scoring just 10 points on five trips inside the 20-yard line.
