Kansas City Chiefs are 9-5 through 15 weeks of the season.

WATCH: “Wouldn’t expect anything else” – Chiefs players heavily booed by crowd after horrible 1st half performance against Raiders

The Kansas City Chiefs are taking on the Las Vegas Raiders at the Arrowhead Stadium. Because of the rivalry between these two teams across the division, there are high expectations from their respective fan bases. The Chiefs came into the game as favorites, however, the Raiders have been playing well under interim head coach Antonio Pierce.

The Raiders came out firing on all cylinders as they quickly established a 17-7 first half lead. The Chiefs looked flat as their star players haven’t made any impact yet. Their superstar QB Patrick Mahomes has only thrown for 97 yards and has turned the ball over two times already. The Raiders’ first touchdown came on a fumble recovery by their DT Bilal Nichols.

Once the second quarter ended, the Arrowhead crowd let their feelings be known with a chorus of boos that came down with the Kansas City rain. The Chiefs’ home stadium and their fans haven’t had the reason to boo their team due to their recent success. However, this was different as the Chiefs have had a difficult few weeks. Their hopes of winning the conference will take a huge hit if they lose to the Raiders today.

There is still an entire second half still to be played and the Chiefs have enough talent to turn the tables on the Raiders. However, it will be mighty hard for the Chiefs to come back from a 10 point deficit in hasty weather conditions.

The Chiefs answered the Raiders’ field goal in the first quarter with a touchdown at the beginning of the second. However, Chiefs’ QB Patrick Mahomes has already fumbled the ball twice, one resulting in a touchdown for the Raiders. Fans on social media have reacted to the Kanas City fans booing their own team while heading into the half time. Here are some of the reactions.

The Chiefs still have a chance to pull off a win, but it will be tough to do so against a rejuvenated Raiders side. Winning this game will bring them closer to the top of the AFC conference. However, a defeat would hurt their chances of getting a first round bye. The second half will be an interesting watch.
