The Dallas Cowboys’ CB Trevon Diggs is one of the best defensemen in the NFL. He is a huge reason why the Cowboys have the best defense through two weeks. However, the Cowboys were dealt with a major blow this week when Diggs tore his ACL during a practice session on Thursday. He was ruled out for the entire 2023 NFL season.

Trevon Diggs’ brother and Buffalo Bills‘ WR1 Stefon Diggs came out of the tunnel during their game against the Washington Commanders on Sunday sporting a tribute to his brother on his black eye. Under one eye, the black eye read “Tre 7” whereas under the other eye, it read “5ever.” Trevon Diggs’ jersey number with the Cowboys is 7.

Stefon Diggs is four years older than Trevon and has been supportive of his younger brother throughout his career. ESPN analyst Bart Scott recently made fun of Trevon’s injury during an episode of First Take. Stefon came to his brother’s defense while blasting Scott for his comments. Stefon tweeted about it on his Twitter account calling Scott a clown and an “ol fake try to be funny a**.”

The Bills are playing the Commanders and will hope to come out of Washington with a win. The Cowboys will play the Arizona Cardinals later this evening. Stefon Diggs is one of the best WRs in the league and will be expected to have a big year for the Bills and help them reach the Super Bowl this year.

Cowboys’ HC Mike McCarthy defends the drill that led to Trevon Diggs’ injury

Trevon Diggs was ruled out of the 2023 NFL season after he tore his ACL during practice this week. Diggs has been a key player for the Dallas Cowboys‘ defense with 18 career interceptions. Cowboys’ HC Mike McCarthy talked about Diggs’ injury and defended the play that led to his injury.

“It was a red zone one-on-one drill, very safe drill,” McCarthy told reporters. “And when you see the video, just something that can happen anywhere. Two guys going for the football and looks like he came down on the foot or stepped on the foot of the receiver. This was not a drill issue at all. By no means.”

Diggs was drafted in the second round of the 2020 NFL draft. After a good rookie season, Diggs took the NFL by storm in 2021, leading the league with 11 interceptions en route to being named to the First Team All-Pro. He already has 18 interceptions to his name through four seasons and will look to come back even stronger from his ACL injury.
