Singer Taylor Swift has just recorded a new milestone in the history of the Grammy music awards as the most nominated artist in the ‘Song of the Year’ category.

The 2024 Grammy nominations list was just announced by the American Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences on November 10 (local time). Taylor Swift is one of the most notable names because not only is she in the group with the most nominations, Taylor also set a record of being named in the important category “Song of the Year” 7 times, with the single ” Anti- Hero .

With this achievement, Taylor surpassed two famous singers, Paul McCartney and Lionel Richie, each with 6 nominations. Fans expect Taylor to win this year in this category after missing out on the award 6 times.

In addition to “Song of the Year”, Taylor Swift received 5 other nominations at the 2024 Grammys, including “Album of the Year” for Midnights and “Recording of the Year” for Anti-Hero . During her music career, the 33-year-old singer has won 12 times in many categories, including three “Album of the Year” awards – a feat that no female solo artist has achieved.

At the 2024 Grammys, SZA (real name Solána Imani Rowe) leads with nine nominations thanks to her breakthrough album SOS . Next is Victoria Monét with 7 nominations for the album Jaguar II. Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo each received 6 nominations, along with Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, Jon Batiste and Brandy Clark. On Instagram, Miley Cyrus expressed her joy when hearing the news and was proud that female artists dominated this year’s nominations. Miley was named in all three main categories: “Album of the Year”, “Song of the Year”, “Recording of the Year” (with the album Endless Summer Vacation and the song Flowers ).

Vietnamese artist Duy Dao was nominated in the category “Best boxed or special limited edition package”. He was recognized by the American Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences for his role in art direction and design of the album Sowing by the band Ngot.

The 66th Grammy Awards will be held on February 4, 2024 in Los Angeles, USA.
