SmackDown’s special New Year’s Revolution episode was nothing short of spectacular. While Roman Reigns made a triumphant return, all eyes were set on the match of the night as LA Knight, AJ Styles, and Randy Orton faced off in a triple threat to decide the number one contender for the Undisputed Universal Championship

And with such high-caliber talent and stakes so high, fans expected a match where the superstars gave it their all. And they sure did, as LA Knight found himself busted open during the fight.

The triple threat and the twist in the tale

The main event of the New Year’s Revolution episode was something that’ll be remembered for quite a while. Especially by LA Knight. Styles, Orton, and Knight really displayed how deep the SmackDown roster is by putting on an amazing match. And an unintentional highlight was LA Knight lying bloody in the ring.

But there’s someone else, apart from Knight, who’ll remember the match for all the wrong reasons. And it is none other than the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns. Just when the adrenaline-pumping match was getting good, the Bloodline decided to interfere and create havoc. They relentlessly attacked the three superstars until SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis decided to bring a twist that no one expected. And now Reigns will have not one but three contenders facing him in a Fatal Four-Way battle for the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble.
