The pro wrestling world has no shortage of stories throughout the rich history of the business. A&E’s quality documentary skills are now going toward telling some of those great stories about legends from the past.
Starting on Sunday, February 25th, WWE and A&E will present new seasons of WWE Rivals. The show will air at 8 ET/PT, which will be followed by Biography: WWE Legends at 9 ET/PT.
Both A&E series will leap into the lives and careers of well-known WWE Superstars, offering viewers unprecedented access through in-depth interviews and archival footage. Naturally, fans can look forward to amazing quality, since A&E is known for their excellent documentary style.
Hosted by actor and former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr., WWE Rivals will include discussions about legendary battles that shaped WWE history. Each one-hour episode features a roundtable of current and former WWE Superstars, exploring dramatic storylines and unforgettable rivalries.
The season premiere focuses on the intense animosity between Triple H and The Rock, diving into their heated feud over the WWE Championship in the early 2000s. Future episodes will focus on iconic rivalries such as Jake “The Snake” Roberts vs. “Macho Man” Randy Savage, Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels, John Cena vs. Randy Orton, Hardy Boyz vs. Dudley Boyz vs. Edge & Christian, and The Miz vs. Daniel Bryan.
Following WWE Rivals each week, Biography: WWE Legends will continue to share intimate stories of beloved WWE Legends. Through archival footage and first-hand interviews, each episode will take a look at a different Legend, showcasing career highlights and their impact on the industry and the WWE Universe.
The season will begin with the life and career of Randy Orton. Other Legends featured this season include Sgt. Slaughter, Scott Hall, Diamond Dallas Page, British Bulldog, and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
