Patrick Mahomes said mistakes happen with every player and they need to learn from it while talking about Kadarius Toney.

Patrick Mahomes finally breaks silence on his ‘moment of rage’ over Kadarius Toney’s costly mistake against the Patriots

Patrick Mahomes was visibly upset after Kadarius Toney dropped another catch in the New England Patriots game at Foxborough on Week 15. That has been the recurring theme for the wide receiver since the start of this season.

However, Mahomes is willing to have faith in Toney because he knows that mistakes can happen on the field. That’s part and parcel of being a football player. But what they learn from and improve on matters the most.

In a recent exclusive interview with 610 Sports Radio in Kansas City, the Chiefs quarterback took Toney’s side and claimed that he would keep believing in the 24-year-old.

Mistakes happen. You keep believing in him. I'm not always perfect. I have had a lot of interceptions this year, and I think it's something you just have to
keep believing because I know the guys believe in me, and I keep firing.

He threw two interceptions during the game and looked frustrated afterward on the sidelines. The five-time Pro Bowler has already eclipsed his previous season’s pick record with 13 interceptions. The concerning factor for the Chiefs is that this was the third time he had thrown a pick twice in a game in the 2023 season.

Patrick Mahomes claimed that winning the Super Bowl would be a team effort

The season isn’t over yet, and the Kansas City Chiefs are close to making the playoffs once more. They currently lead the AFC West with a 9-5 record and are third overall in the AFC playoff seed behind the Miami Dolphins.

With all the criticism around Toney, it sometimes gets overshadowed that he was part of the Chiefs Super Bowl-winning side. Even if Rob Gronkowski judges the former Giants player’s commitment toward the game, he still has qualities that can be useful in the upcoming games. Patrick Mahomes believes every player has to come together for the final push towards post-season football.

It's going to take everybody to win the Super Bowl, and we know that, so we're going to keep having that confidence in everybody that's on that football field that they're going to go out there and give everything they have to the team.

The Chiefs are back at Arrowhead for their next game. They will face the tricky challenge of the Las Vegas Raiders, who dropped 60 points against the Los Angeles Chargers in their last game, causing the sack of head coach Brandon Staley.
