Words flying, “The Rock” will return in “Fast X”?

Dwayne Johnson first joined the Fast & Furious franchise in Fast Five (2009), the actor appeared as the villain Hobbs. After that, Dwayne continuously appeared in parts 6, 7, 8 as well as starring in the spin-off Hobbs & Shaw released in 2019.

According to side rumors, the disagreement between Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel has been brewing for a long time and exploded violently on the set of Furious 7 (2015). According to Us Weekly , The Rock is the party who initiated the conflict. The actor publicly mocked and “insinuated” Vin Diesel in the press and on social networks. The conflict between the two stars made the atmosphere on set become stuffy and awkward.

The feud between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson has lasted for nearly a decade.

Most recently, in November 2021, producer and main actor Fast & Furious – Vin Diesel posted an article to The Rock, expressing his wish for him to return to the series in the blockbuster Fast X. Responding to Diesel, the former wrestler said that this was a “manipulation” of public opinion, and no matter what, he himself would never return to the series.

“I was surprised to see Vin’s recent share. Last June, when Vin and I had a chance to interact, I told him directly that I would not return to this series. I still support the cast and hope the series succeeds, but there’s no way I’ll go back. I also spoke privately with my colleagues at Universal, who understand this issue very well ,” Dwayne Johnson shared.

Is it time for both sides to make peace so that both sides can benefit?

Currently, both The Rock and Universal Pictures have not provided an official response to the information. However, the actor’s return to Hollywood’s most famous action franchise could be a good sign, showing concessions from both sides, especially after the loss of the superhero franchise Black Adam . Dwayne Johnson’s debut was a flop.
