Recently, Billboard announced that the song “Super Shy” entered the Hot 100 chart – a weekly chart of the most popular songs in the US – at number 66.
This is NewJeans ‘ third song to appear on the Billboard Hot 100, and is also the group’s highest ranking. (Earlier this year, “Ditto” and “OMG” ranked Nos. 82 and 74, respectively, on the Hot 100.)
NewJeans is the fastest Kpop group to have 3 songs enter the Billboard Hot 100 chart in history – less than 1 year after debut.
“Super Shy” also set NewJeans’ highest record on two global Billboard charts, which is ranked 2nd on Global 200 and Global Excl. US (globally outside the US). The song also debuted in the Top 2 of the World Digital Song Sales chart.
Additionally, “Super Shy” became the group’s first song to enter the Digital Song Sales chart, coming in at number 45.
Meanwhile, the single “New Jeans” released before “Super Shy” also debuted at No. 5 on the World Digital Song Sales chart, No. 19 on the Global Excl. US and No. 32 on the Global 200.
Finally, NewJeans entered Billboard’s Artist 100 chart at number 47, also the group’s best performance to date.
Reappearing after more than 6 months since the mini album “OMG”, the two songs paved the way for NewJeans’ mini album “Get Up” to achieve remarkable achievements.
As of July 17, “Super Shy” has climbed to the Top 10 of the global Spotify chart with 3,298,981 streams. NewJeans is the first Gen 4 Kpop group to have 2 songs in the Top 10 of this chart.
In Korea, “Super Shy” achieved the title of Perfect All-kill, topping all domestic digital music charts (Melon, Genie, Vibe, Flo, Bugs, YouTube Music) in real time, daily and iChart platform’s weekly chart. To date, “Super Shy” has recorded 40 hours of Perfect All-kill.
Recently, NewJeans continued to gain attention when singer/songwriter The Weeknd shared that he was listening to the song “Super Shy” on his personal Instagram. The Weeknd also tagged the group’s Instagram account Newjeans_official.

Previously, NewJeasn’s management company revealed that there will be two “global stars” appearing in two versions of “Cool With You” MV.
