Micah Parsons is well known for not keeping his opinions to himself. From his bitter criticism of referees to comparisons of him with other players, the Dallas Cowboys safety always says what he thinks, and now it was quarterback Brock Purdy’s turn.
The San Francisco 49ers signal-caller had a game to forget on Monday Night Football against the Baltimore Ravens. In just over three quarters that he played, Purdy completed 18 passes in 32 attempts for 255 yards, no touchdowns, and four interceptions.
With the fourth quarter underway, Purdy had to leave the game due to a finger injury. Sam Darnold came in to replace him and scored a touchdown, but it was too late, and the 49ers lost 33-19.
Purdy’s performance did not go unnoticed by Parsons, who immediately took to his social media to launch a bitter criticism against the San Francisco quarterback.
What did Parsons say about Purdy?
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Parsons criticized Purdy’s play saying: “Down 21 and there no shots or development throws! Should tell you all you need to know!”
By that time, San Francisco was losing 33-12, and the home team insisted on using a variant of the West Coast offense, with short and quick passes, instead of looking for the deep areas of the field to try to unbalance the rival offense.
It looked like Darnold had solved the problems when he led a 13-play drive that went 90 yards in 4:05 and cut seven points from the 49ers’ deficit. However, on his next turn on offense, Darnold threw an interception that ended any hope his team had.
"People tell me we look alike."
Brock Purdy and John Harbaugh had a classic post game interaction 😅

How has Parsons done against Purdy?
Parsons was quick to criticize Purdy, but he seems to have ignored the great work of Mike Macdonald’s defense, which closed all avenues for both Purdy and Darnold.
Also, the Cowboys safety conveniently forgot his uninspired performance against the 49ers when both teams met in Week 5, with a resounding 42-10 victory for San Francisco.
On that occasion, the 49ers signal-caller completed 17 passes in 24 attempts, for 252 yards and four touchdowns, without an interception. Parsons, on the other hand, assisted on three tackles and did not have any solo tackles.
