Following their 31-10 defeat to the Buffalo Bills, Micah Parsons has defended the Dallas Cowboys and questioned why pundits want his team to lose so much.

The Texas-based team suffered their first defeat in five games but retained the lead of the NFC East ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles, who were also beaten by the Seattle Seahawks.

Savage fight breaks out between Cowboys and Eagles fans: “Getting whooped on and off the field”

Parsons called out those going after Dak Prescott, who suffered a particularly bad day at the office as the Cowboys offense proved ineffective. Prescott threw an interception and was sacked three times.

“Everyone just waits for the Cowboys to lose,” Parsons said to The Edge. “I saw multiple analysts, people who are fake analysts, who somehow got jobs on TV, saying ‘There goes your boy. Oh, there he is. That’s the person we’ve been waiting for.’

“It’s almost to the point where it’s like almost sick. Former players are waiting for other current players to fail so that way they have something to talk about.

“Why do you want a person to lose so bad? It seems that a lot of people are just waiting for people to fail.”

Cowboys struggling on the road

Despite showing formidable form at the AT&T in the Lone Star state, the Cowboys have been far weaker on the road possessing a 3-4 record when they’re not in Arlington.

It’s allowing the NFC East to remain an open contest as both the Cowboys and Eagles bid for the postseason first-round bye to increase their odds of reaching the Super Bowl in February, 2024.

Their on-the-road losses includes a surprising defeat to the Arizona Cardinals whilst they have also been beaten by postseason rivals such as the Bills, Eagles and San Francisco 49ers.

“Honestly, it’s just unacceptable at this point,” Parsons said to Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “There’s no excuse for it.

“It’s mind boggling. I don’t understand why we’re not playing well and why we’re not coming together on the road.”
