The Dallas Cowboys are back on winning track.

Dak Prescott

The Dallas Cowboys are back in form after the shambolic defeat against the Arizona Cardinals last week. They thrashed the New England Patriots by a mammoth margin of 38-3! It was another defensive masterclass that confined the Patriots to three points and helped the team to grab a much-needed win.

In the post-match presentation, Dak Prescott, the star quarterback of the Cowboys, did not hide his joy over the result. In an interview with Erin Andrews of Fox Sports, the QB said, “We didn’t score enough in the red zone,” with a smile. He further added,”When we put it all together and score to our standard, it’s gonna be dangerous.”

Of course, Dak has every right to celebrate the victory. Like always, he was subjected to a lot of criticism after the poor loss against the Cardinals. The QB was intercepted at one of the crucial moments of the game, and that interception nailed the coffin for the Cowboys. It was Dak’s 100th appearance for the Cowboys and he failed to make it memorable.

Since then, he was seeking in desperation to silence his critics. The game vs. the Patriots set the stage for them and this time Dak did not disappoint. He completed 28 of his 34 passes and covered 265 yards and also registered a touchdown. His 20-yard throw to CeeDee Lamb was greeted with a lot of appreciation.

Slowly but surely Prescott is coming back to his true colors. He was efficient, but not at his best. The NFL analysts and the Dallas fans witnessed his best and are still waiting for him to come back in full form.

Defensive masterclass from the Cowboys against Patriots

Apart from Prescott’s effective performance on the field, the Cowboys had a brilliant defensive performance against the Patriots. They did not let the Patriots score a single touchdown in the last two quarters. They were confined to only three points. DaRon Bland, who replaced Trevon Diggs, after the latter was ruled out due to an Achilles injury, had a brilliant game. He made two interceptions and three solo tackles. He had a pick 6 and a touchdown.

Frankly, the Dallas fans will feel more satisfied about Bland’s performance than Dak’s. The team’s defensive performance suffered a major setback against the Cardinals after Trevon Diggs was ruled out because of the injury. Diggs was not impressive in the game vs. the Cardinals ether. However, he came back strongly and provided his best on the field.

The Cowboys only gave up 13 points in the three games that they won. They garnered 108 in expense. Absolute demolition of the opponents.
