Bart Scott joked about Trevon Diggs’ season-ending injury in the recent episode of First Take.
The Dallas Cowboys recently suffered a massive blow as they lost Trevon Diggs, one of the best players to a season-ending injury earlier this week during a practice session. Following the injury, ESPN personality Bart Scott made a tasteless comment about Diggs’ unfortunate injury. And now, the Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons has come to the aid of his teammate and bashed Scott.
Parsons took to social media to call out the former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Bart Scott over his distasteful comments about the Pro Bowl defensive back Trevon Diggs’ ACL injury.
“Wtf ?? He ole hating a** old head!! Lame asf!! This why I really don’t like talking to dudes in the media!! As a former player you are a lame asf bro! Just facts joking bout a man trying to feed his family and building a legacy! ESPN gotta stop letting corn balls on tv!!” wrote Parsons on the social media platform X.
During a recent episode of the ESPN show First Take, Scott made jokes about Diggs’ injury by saying, “This is a major, major blow for Dallas, and like Stephen A. always said, ‘Just wait, something bad always happens.’”

Even his fellow panelists Stephen A. Smith and Ryan Clark called out Scott over his insensitive comments immediately. “No, don’t start that, don’t start that,” said Clark while Stephen A said that he wouldn’t joke about a serious injury like this.
Trevon Diggs suffered the season-ending ACL injury during a one vs. one drill in the Cowboys practice session. Later, the Cowboys revealed Diggs suffered an ACL injury and was ruled out for the remainder of the 2023 NFL season. He will soon have ACL surgery and will start his recovery process.

Parsons took to social media to call Scott “hating a** old head.” The Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs and the Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill also called out Bart Scott over his cheap jokes. Besides, NFL fans on social media also bashed Scott.

Nonetheless, the Cowboys will continue their journey without one of their defensive leaders. They will be now focused on the Arizona Cardinals, who they are scheduled to face this weekend in their week 3 matchup.
