Both teams registered consecutive wins and almost thrashed their opponents. Meanwhile, former Super Bowl Champion himself, James Jones picked his favorite between the Cowboys QB Dak Prescott and the 49ers QB Brock Purdy.

Two weeks in and the battle of the quarterbacks is already heating. Brock Purdy was phenomenal in the first two games for the team. Dak Prescott, the quarterback for the Cowboys, on the other hand, had fairly pale outings.

Meanwhile, with the analysts predicting that these two teams are favorites to win the Super Bowl, this season, no player is expected to have an off-day in any week. Further, both of these teams have not won a Super Bowl in a long time despite having a rich history. So, this season, they will be making desperate measures of at least putting up a strong fight.

Considering this, James Jones– Super Bowl winner with the Green Bay Packers in 2011- talks about as to why he thinks Dak Prescott is better sorted than Purdy as a QB. Making an appearance on Speak, the analysts said that Dak is ‘better proven’. Hence, he has a more likely chance of winning the MVP award than Purdy.

“Dak does not lose games either. That’s what people fail to realize. The 49ers have not won the Super Bowl for long and neither has the Dallas Cowboys. But Dak Prescott is a winner. You are talking about winning, ye has slipped in the playoffs, and so has the Niners. Like Brock Purdy has not won the 49ers a Super Bowl, he has taken the 49ers nowhere that Dak Prescott took the Cowboys. And Dak Prescott consistently wins more every time he is out there. That is why I am taking Dak Prescott,” the analyst said.

Dak Prescott’s performance this season 

The first game for Dak Prescott against the New York Giants was average according to his high standards, but he led the Cowboys to a thumping win. He covered 143 passing yards and completed 13 of his 24 passing. He finished the game with a quarterback rating of less than 75.

Dak improved his performance against the New York Jets. The Cowboys won the game by 30-10. Dak had a pivotal role in ensuring the victory for the team. The player completed 31 of his 38 passes and completed 288 passing yards. In this game, he had two touchdowns, a passing completion rate of 81%, and an average of 6.7. Dak is yet to come in his true colors. The fans are waiting to see him in his best of form.

The Dallas Cowboys is regarded as one of the most important sports franchises in the world and the team hasn’t had good results in nearly 3 decades. So a lot will be riding on Prescott’s shoulders this season provided the team has one of the best defenses in the league.
