The Dallas Cowboys suffered a difficult loss at the hands of the Miami Dolphins on Sunday night and All-Pro linebacker Micah Parsons couldn’t hide his frustrations with the officiating in the aftermath.

After the game, Parsons, who was controversially flagged for roughing the passer after a hit on Tua Tagovailoa, expressed his dismay with the penalties that went against the Cowboys during the game.

“It’s mind-blowing, the things that are getting called, and the positions that we get put in. We just have to learn how to fight the adversity. I know a lot of it is BS, but it’s the world we live in. We’ve got the star on our helmet,” said Parsons, via Jon Machota of The Athletic.

Dallas was flagged six times for 38 yards during the 22–20 loss against Miami. The Dolphins were hit with five penalties for 33 yards.

“The ref said my intent was to punish the quarterback. How am I trying to punish him if I’m just trying to sack him? It’s not like it was a late hit. It’s not like I’m leaving my feet. I didn’t lead with my head. I don’t know how you make that call,” said Parsons regarding his roughing the passer penalty.

It was the first time all season that Parsons was flagged for roughing. It was a close play, but Parsons remains steadfast that it was a legal and clean hit against Tagovailoa.
