The Eagles are at the top in the fourth-down conversion rate at 76.47%, following the Week 9.

Cowboys-Eagles game garnered a whopping 27.1 million viewers making it the most watched football game since the last Super Bowl

The blockbuster game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys was much more than the divisional matchup, as it featured the highest-viewing audience after the last Super Bowl LVII. Football fans all across the United States were glued to their phone or television screens as they watched the game on Sunday.

Interestingly, based on the ratings, Fox announced on Wednesday that the Eagles-Cowboys game was the most-watched telecast of the season across all networks, in their America’s Game of the Week. The mega-divisional game was watched by 27.136 million viewers.

As Fox enjoys the ratings all across the board, it’s obvious the game was truly a treat to the eyes of sports fans as they witnessed how the Eagles, at 8-1, dominated their NFC East Rivals, the Cowboys.

In halftime, quarterback Dak Prescott and Dallas were up front in the lead, however Eagles outlasted them as the second half began. Quarterback Jalen Hurts threw a couple of touchdowns in the second half. Both the QBs combined recorded five touchdowns with a close 600 passing yards through the air.

How coach Nick Sirianni’s aggressive approach brought the Eagles at 8-1

As head coach Nick Sirianni took over the Eagles, the team has been going with an outstanding aggressive approach on fourth down for the past few seasons. According to FOX’s Greg Olsen, Philadelphia’s aggressive approach has improved him to an 8-1, at the top slot in the NFC East division.

In the Sunday game against the Cowboys, the team again took his approach and went fourth down twice on the opening drive. First, fourth-and-1 by their 32-yard line, and the second fourth-and-1 by the opponent’s 27-yard line, leading to a touchdown conversion on each try. As Week 9 came to an end, the Eagles stood at the top in the fourth-down conversion rate at 76.47%. Olsen also appreciated Sirianni’s decision-making on the field, leading to gain higher winning percentage in the season.

In comparison to last season, which was third in yards and points per game, the Eagles rank third in yards with 376.8 and second in points per game with 28. This states, that as the team moves forward, their offense is improving with much better speed, even without an offensive coordinator Shane Steichen.
