The Cowboys are scheduled to go against the Eagles on Sunday.

Cowboys boss Jerry Jones wants the team to consider ‘electric’ matchup against the Eagles like a playoff game

Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys are currently preparing for their duel against the Jalen Hurts-led Philadelphia Eagles in their week 9 matchup. This weekend, the NFC East division rivals are set to face each other in one of the biggest games in the ongoing NFL season. Ahead of the much-anticipated game, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones shared his two cents about the matchup.

During his recent appearance on 105.3 The FAN radio show, the Cowboys owner responded to the comments about how the game against the Eagles could be a measuring stick for the Dallas-based football team.

I heard someone say, ‘Well, this will be a good measuring stick.’ This isn’t about measuring sticks right here.
There’s a time when you have to quit measuring and just try to go get the win.

Jones said on 105.3 The Fan.
Jones — the owner and the general manager of the Cowboys — doesn’t see this game as a measuring stick. Instead, he wants his team to approach the game like the playoffs and consider it a must-win matchup.

The win itself means so much. This is what you’re supposed to be doing it all for. This is like the playoffs.

Jerry Jones on @1053thefan on Cowboys vs. Eagles on Sunday: “I heard someone say, ‘Well, this will be a good measuring stick.’ This isn’t about measuring sticks right here. There’s a time when you have to quit measuring and just try to go get the win. Because the win itself means…

The Cowboys have been dominating the Eagles when it comes to head-to-head matches. In the last 10 games, these teams played each other, the Cowboys have come out on top 7 times. In the very last game that happened in December 2022, the Cowboys managed to secure a 40-34 victory against the Philly-based football team, but the Eagles played that game without Jalen Hurts.

Cowboys-Eagles showdown is some serious s**t, claims Jerry Jones

The Cowboys and the Eagles — teams that share one of the most fierce rivalries in the NFL — are set to face each other this weekend. Dallas owner Jerry Jones knows how serious is that showdown for both teams.

This is serious sh*t that we're dealing with up here Sunday, man. We've got to really have our game face on. Philadelphia is a tough place to get your momentum going, but, to me, this is all about just what the NFL can be.

Just like Jerry Jones, players from both teams know how serious their game can get on Sunday. So, the fans can expect a thrilling showdown between the two top NFC teams this weekend.

The Cowboys are currently two games behind the Eagles for the NFC East division title. They would look to reduce that difference by defeating them.
