KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City’s favorite quarterback recently surprised a Lee’s Summit teenager with Super Bowl tickets.

Isaac Murdock, 13, received the surprise of a lifetime during what he believed to be a routine commercial shoot for Variety KC.

Murdock was asked to participate in a commercial for Variety KC, a local nonprofit supporting children with disabilities.

Little did he know that the shoot would take an unexpected turn.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes surprised Murdock with the tickets.

“When he showed up, that was insane,” he said.

Murdock was born with a rare spinal defect, but has not let the condition hinder his passion for sports.

He plays basketball and is part of Variety KC.

Kristi Murdock, Isaac’s mother, said she had a feeling of joy about Mahomes’ surprise visit.

“Seeing him come through the door, and that pure shock on Isaac’s face, was pretty special,” she shared.
