The 34-year-old superstar confirmed the news on Sunday (September 25, US time) when she posted a photo of hosting an NFL football game on her Instagram.

Rihanna will officially take the stage during the halftime show on Sunday, February 12, during Super Bowl LVII at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

This news comes on the heels of previous reports that Rihanna was in talks about attending the event, as well as news of Taylor Swift turning down the offer for good reason.

Earlier this year, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar all performed during the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show.

This will also be the first Super Bowl halftime show sponsored by Apple Music, instead of longtime sponsor Pepsi.

Previously, Rihanna had turned down an offer to perform at halftime in 2020.
