Two plaintiffs, Jonathan Hadden and Michael Fellows, respectively, both from Brox County, brought a lawsuit against Madonna for false advertising. However, the lawsuit does not state the amount of compensation requested.

Specifically, in the promotional flyer for The Celebration Tour concert in New York on December 13, 2023, it clearly states that the starting time is 8:30 p.m., while Madonna only stepped on stage at 10:45 p.m., more than 2 hours late.

Michael Fellows and Jonathan Hadden not only sued Madonna but also made allegations against Live Nation and Barclays Center – the two event organizers – on the grounds of “unfair and deceptive trade practices”.

Because Madonna’s performances attract many audiences from states neighboring New York, they often travel using public transportation systems such as the subway.

The late end of the concert made it difficult for Madonna’s audience to return home or go to work the next day.

According to the lawsuit, most concertgoers had to leave the stage after 1 a.m. each night, causing many inconveniences for them, including “limitations on public transportation, restrictions on commuting.” vehicles and/or increased travel costs at late hours”.

This is not the only time Madonna arrived late. In December 2023, the female singer arrived late to five live shows in Boston, Toronto and Detroit.

In addition to the lawsuits from the two audiences above, many X users (formerly Twitter) who attended Madonna’s shows also complained:

“I love Madonna’s music but being 2 hours late for the first show in the US is disrespectful to the audience” – a user shared.

“It’s been 2 hours, I want my ticket refunded” – an audience member posted this status in the middle of the event, who also shared that the crowd screamed in protest when Madonna finally appeared. appears on stage at 10:45 p.m.
