Unlike his ESPN colleague Kirk Herbstreit, Chris “Mad Dog” Russo has had enough of the NFL’s Taylor Swift coverage.

On his weekly “What Are You Mad About!” segment on “First Take,” Russo let loose on CBS for showing the pop superstar “too much.” Saying now he knows why fans believe there was a conspiracy for the Chiefs to win.

This past week she was on — it was an overtime game — for 55 seconds. Alright, doesn’t sound that bad… They went to that box 12 times! 12 times! He only caught one ball in the first half! I’m not interested! … Listen I understand she’s a huge, huge star and I love the relationship, I swear to God. On the field it’s legit and everything else but it’s a football game! That’s what it is. And now you know why fans get annoyed in Buffalo and Baltimore, they think there’s a conspiracy. … 12 times?! That’s three or for times a quarter for crying out loud and they trailed three-fifths of the game! Oh my God, please! Enough, enough, enough!
Swift’s cutaways have been one of the biggest storylines of the 2023-24 season since she first arrived at Arrowhead to watch Travis Kelce play.

Her presence at the games has broken the brains of both football fans and whacky conspiracy theorists but it doesn’t seem like she’s going to be going anywhere anytime soon.
