Can Caitlin Clark take the Indiana Fever up a level in 2025?

With a banner now coming to the Barclays Center thanks to a wild ride and championship win by the New York Liberty, it is now time to turn our attention to the next one.

The Liberty are favored to do it again in 2025, coming in at +175 odds to win the WNBA Championship next year, according to BetMGM.

The first-time champions have the most talented team in the WNBA, as they are led by a pair of elite scorers in Sabrina Ionescu and Breanna Stewart.

Behind the Liberty is the Minnesota Lynx, the league’s runner-up who gave the Liberty everything they could handle, including an overtime loss in the deciding Game 5.

Further down the oddsboard are Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever, who open the offseason at 15/1 to win the Finals.

Clark helped the Fever rally from a slow start to qualify for the playoffs, but they were swept in the first round by the Connecticut Sun.

At one point in 2024, the Fever were 80/1 to win the WNBA Championship but they climbed down as low as 20/1 during their comeback.

The Fever finished in sixth place with a 20-20 mark.

Clark showed massive improvement over the course of the season, and took home WNBA Rookie of the Year Award, grabbing all but one vote.

Oddsmakers are clearly expecting growth in her second season.

The Aces, Sun and Seattle Storm rank ahead of the Fever, in that order.

Las Vegas and Connecticut both bowed out in the semifinals, while the Storm lost to the Aces in the first round.
