Caitlin Clark’s seven-word statement speaks volumes after WNBA quit message
Caitlin Clark has taken the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) by storm this season but has been linked with a shock move away from the league
Caitlin Clark seems to have already address the idea she should contemplate leaving the WNBA, stating “I wouldn’t change anything for the world” in a revealing seven-word comment while evaluating her season.
The point guard has become a household name following an outstanding rookie season with Indiana Fever, leading her team to the WNBA playoffs before they were ultimately defeated in the first round by the Connecticut Sun.
Clark’s performances helped her beat out Angel Reese for Rookie of the Year, with broadcasters seeing a surge in viewership as the sport attracted a new audience due to the Iowa native’s rise to stardom.
Her record-setting season has sparked speculation about what lies ahead for Clark, with some suggesting that the 22-year-old is considering whether to stay in the WNBA or relocate elsewhere.
Speaking on his Fearless programme, Jason Whitlock said: “They’re already playing in rival leagues. Why not start a rival league? You can have a rival league that operates during the summer or you can have a rival league that starts now, right here in America. I’m gonna tell you who’s going to do this, Saudi Arabia.
“They can see what I can see. Man, there’s a lot of momentum behind Caitlin Clark and women’s basketball. Adam Silver, Cathy Engelbert, the people running the NBA and the WNBA, they are idiots. They don’t know how to maximise this Caitlin Clark gift.”

If she were to announce her intention to leave the league, the rookie would not lack suitors. However, it appears that Clark has already hinted that she plans to stay in the WNBA for the upcoming season.
Earlier this week, she wrote on Instagram: “I feel very thankful. I wouldn’t change anything for the world. I feel very thankful for the relationships I’ve built, the opportunities that I’ve had, the way people have supported me, and whether it was at Iowa or whether it’s now in the WNBA.”
Clark hinted to her fans that she’s not planning on leaving the U.S. anytime soon, expressing her gratitude and anticipation for the future in a heartfelt message: “Year one – thank you to the many people who have supported me as I’ve been able to live my childhood dream. I’m filled with gratitude as I reflect on this past year of my life. See you all in year two.”
Currently taking a break from the basketball court, Clark is honing her skills in golf. She’s set to team up with Indiana Fever colleague Lexie Hull at the upcoming LPGA Tour event next month, hosted by none other than golf legend Annika Sorenstam.
The pair have been spotted getting ready for the tournament, with Clark particularly shining during practice. On a par three hole, she nearly achieved a hole-in-one, her tee shot just inches away from glory a sure sign that she’s going to be a serious contender at the LPGA event.
