Travis Kelce’s mom Donna Kelce has revealed that her son ‘likes attention’ and is ’embracing’ his time in the spotlight as his relationship with Taylor Swift continues to raise his profile to stratospheric heights.

In an interview with Good Morning America on Monday, Donna, 71, shared her thoughts on the Kansas City Chiefs star’s blossoming romance with the Cruel Summer singer, 33.

Speaking on the ABC program, she said: ‘I think the attention is just part of the whole thing.

‘Obviously [she] is a megastar, and I think Travis is embracing [the fame] as much as he can, so I think it’s okay.

‘He likes attention, so as long as he can handle it, I don’t have any problems with it. She’s a very nice person.’

Donna added: ‘I’m sure everybody is tired of our family in some respects, but it is really with joy that we are able to do things together.’

Travis, 34, certainly has been making the most of monetizing from his relationship with Taylor, having filed five new trademarks alone last month.

In addition to his name, the NFL player is reportedly also looking to trademark his Instagram handle, ‘Killlatrav,’ his signature catchphrase, ‘Alright Nah,’ a reference to his jersey number, ‘Flight 87,’ and ‘Kelce’s Krunch.’

According to Gerben, the filings are said to claim that Kelce will use the trademarks for a variety of purposes, including pins, posters, bobbleheads, clothing and even a cereal.

The ‘Killatrav’ filing states that its intended purpose is for jewelry, including label pins.

Both his social media handle and ‘Alright Nah’ catchphrase were well-known and associated with Kelce by NFL fans, with the latter popularized by his frequent use of it during his ‘New Heights’ podcast with his brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce.

Travis launched his limited edition ‘Kelce Krunch’ cereal last year after signing a multi-year endorsement deal with grocery store chain Hy-Vee, in 2021, with some of the proceeds going to his foundation.

The final trademark ‘Flight 87′ is a nod to his jersey number, which also features in Kelce’s other endeavors, including his foundation, ’87 & Running.’ Its filing also states its intended purpose is jewelry.

All five of the trademark applications were filed on October 30 and are awaiting examination.

The couple’s budding romance has dominated headlines over the past month after the Love Story songstress began cheering on her football beau at Chiefs games.

The 12-time Grammy Award winner has been spotted supporting her boyfriend from the stands at four of his games this season, sitting alongside his mom, Donna, and dad, Ed, at times.

She first made an appearance at Arrowhead for the reigning Super Bowl champions’ rout of the Chicago Bears in Week 3 before rocking up to MetLife Stadium with her celebrity entourage of Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, to watch the Chiefs narrowly beat the New York Jets.

This isn’t the first time Donna has spoken out about her son’s relationship on breakfast television, having seemingly thrown shade at Taylor during an appearance on the Today show on October 6.

During her interview on the program, hosts Hoda Kotb, 59, and Savanna Gutherie, 51, probed Donna about what it was like meeting Taylor for the first time at Travis’s game against the Bears in September – but she didn’t seem overly enthused.

She said: ‘I was in the boxes with her. And, yeah, it’s just, you know, another thing that’s amped up my life.’

Pressing for more details, Savannah probed: ‘What was she like? I mean, so you got to know her a little bit. Got to sit with her a couple games. How was it?’

But Donna seemingly wasn’t in the mood to be pressed, and simply quipped: ‘It was okay.’

Savannah awkwardly laughed following the lukewarm answer, with Hoda quickly jumping in to say: ‘We both met her, and we have always been delighted by her.’

The presenters then attempted to find out why Donna was remaining coy, with Savannah asking: ‘Did Travis say, ‘mom, if you get on the Today show and start spilling the beans.’ Did you get a little warning?’

‘It’s not so much a warning as it’s his personal life,’ Donna replied.
