Robert De Niro had a phenomenal acting career before the 2000s. In fact, the actor had four Academy Award nominations and two wins under his belt in 1992. But he had to wait until the 2013 Oscars to receive his next Academy Award nomination for the best actor in a supporting role.

De Niro earned the honor for his amazing performance in the 2012 movie Silver Linings Playbook. The romantic-comedy had De Niro playing Pat Solitano Sr. in the movie, which also featured Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence in lead roles.

The Godfather star delivered a memorable performance as Pat Sr. and announced his comeback to his millions of doubters around the globe. Since then, De Niro has reclaimed his charm and bankability in Hollywood.

Most recently, the veteran Hollywood star featured in Martin Scorcese’s Killers of the Flower Moon. Prior to it, Robert De Niro was reunited with Al Pacino in another Martun Scorcese film, The Irishman.

De Niro once again left a mark on the audience with his amazing acting skills. Moreover, the movie earned a nomination for Best Motion Picture of the Year at the 2020 Oscars. All things considered, the 8-year-old has seemingly gotten better with age and has no plans to slow down anytime soon.

Robert De Niro’s Killers of the Flower Moon didn’t perform as well as anticipated. After all, the movie had a humongous $200 million budget but ended up making just north of $155 million, as per Box Office Mojo.

Despite the lack of success of the film, it doesn’t mean that De Niro was bad in it. If anything, he delivered yet another memorable performance in the movie. Following that, De Niro is already working on a plethora of new projects.
