But Kim Kardashian gave fans something to talk about when she attended her son Saint’s basketball game alongside Tristan Thompson, the ex-boyfriend of Khloe Kardashian, whom he shares two children with.

Given the messy way Khloe and Tristan broke up, many fans were surprised to see him rubbing shoulders with Kim like nothing ever happened. However, this isn’t the only time Kim and Tristan have proved their close in the wake of his dramatic split from Khloe.

Tristan Acts Like A Father Figure To Kim’s Kids

During the Friday game, paparazzi caught Kim and Tristan arriving at 8-year-old Saint’s game together. With Tristan’s successful career as an NBA star, perhaps it shouldn’t be surprising he was there to lend support to his children’s cousin, who, despite his young age, may have aspirations of playing professional like Tristan.

For the sporting event, Kim donned a lavish $5,000 Balenciaga x Adidas coat paired with matching pants, adding a touch of high fashion to the sidelines.

Tristan didn’t sit directly with Kim at the game, rather opting to remain one chair away from the 43-year-old mother-of-four. For his part, Thompson sported a brown and red tracksuit, blending into the casual atmosphere of the kids’ event.

Kim And Tristan Have Hung Out Together Before

This isn’t the first time Kim and Tristan have been seen spending time together, without Khloe or her children present, showcasing the apparently close bond Kim has with her sister’s ex.

Last summer, they were observed attending Lionel Messi’s inaugural game with Inter Miami alongside Saint, and were later captured mingling at the renowned celebrity venue Gekko before venturing to the LIV nightclub.

Moreover, in May 2023, Kim and her 11-year-old daughter, North West, demonstrated their support for Thompson during his LA Lakers match, proudly displaying a homemade sign bearing the words “Tristan Thompson” in vibrant purple and yellow hues.

Perhaps even more telling, Kim has also expressed gratitude towards Tristan for acting like a paternal figure to her kids. Kim’s comments didn’t sit right with all fans, considering Tristan allegedly still hasn’t met his youngest child, the baby boy he fathered with Maralee Nichols when he was in a relationship with Khloe (and their surrogate was pregnant with their second child).

Khloe and Tristan got together in 2016, while their first child, daughter True, was born in 2018, only days after the NBA player was exposed for cheating on The Kardashians star during her pregnancy. Tristan and Khloe remained on-and-off for years after, even welcoming a son in 2022, though they appear done for goods nowadays.

Khloe hasn’t shared her thoughts on Kim and Tristan’s close bond, but it doesn’t appear to be romantic, considering Kim is reportedly romancing Odell Beckham Jr. Interestingly, Odell also has a romantic history with Khloe, proving that the Kardashians like to keep their men close, even if it means having a shared dating history between sisters.
