Taylor Swift’s New York City apartment was broken into again, mere days after she talked publicly about the threat of stalkers and the availability of her information online.

The Associated Press reported that Roger Alvarado, 23, has been arrested after he “climbed a ladder and smashed a glass door to get inside the pop star’s pad around 2:30 a.m” on March 7. No one was at home at the time.

Alvarado had previously received jail time in 2018 for breaking into her Tribeca apartment last April — that time, he allegedly used her shower and bed. Two months prior to that, the AP notes that he was arrested at her home for using a shovel to get in the door.

Taylor wrote an article for Elle Magazine just this week, where she shared the 30 lessons she’s learned over her nearly 30 years of life. In one lesson, she opened up about her fear of violence, both on tour and in her personal life. “I carry QuikClot army grade bandage dressing, which is for gunshot or stab wounds,” she wrote.

“Websites and tabloids have taken it upon themselves to post every home address I’ve ever had online. You get enough stalkers trying to break into your house and you kind of start prepping for bad things.”

She continued that she tries to move past that fear: “Every day I try to remind myself of the good in the world, the love I’ve witnessed and the faith I have in humanity. We have to live bravely in order to truly feel alive, and that means not being ruled by our greatest fears.

Perhaps due to being broken into many times, Taylor Swift is on high alert. So much so that she took a water gun and walked around her mansion looking for thieves. This story made fans laugh out loud.
