Following her divorce from musician Ye, previously known as Kanye West, Kim took proactive steps to diversify her family environment. In the episode, viewers witnessed Kim embarking on a European tour with her son Saint, 7, and his friends. The trip, labeled the “Soccer Mom Tour Trip,” emphasized Kim’s commitment to nurturing her children’s passions, from sports in Europe to zoo adventures in San Diego and fashion excursions in Paris.

During the journey, keen-eyed fans noticed a young man accompanying Kim’s family, displaying a hands-on approach to childcare. Kim later revealed in an interview that she intentionally hired a male nanny to engage in sports activities with her son. She acknowledged her predominantly female-dominated household and expressed her desire for her children to experience a balanced environment.

In an interview, Kim opened up about the decision to hire a man to help with the kids: “I do think that my household — and even in our family — it’s, like, very female-dominated. I really wanted a male around that was going to be picking him up and taking them to sports.

“When he was dropping off the kids, Kanye introduced himself, played two-on-two (basketball) with Saint and him (and) has been so nice to him…saying, ‘Hey, if you’re going to help raise my son’ — because he handed him the ball really easily or something — and he’s like, ‘Don’t do that. Make him go get it himself. These are like some of the rules that I would want’ and I was like, ‘Oh my god, OK. That’s great.’”

Kim’s decision to employ a male nanny did not come without challenges. In the interview, she admitted feeling apprehensive about discussing her choice with her ex-husband Ye. However, when the musician met the new nanny, he not only accepted the situation but also offered valuable insights. Ye’s involvement signaled a harmonious co-parenting dynamic, dispelling any initial concerns Kim had.

Despite her best intentions, Kim also shared the difficulties of solo parenting, revealing the challenges of balancing discipline with her busy lifestyle:

Yeah, life is so tough… It’s really hard for me to be really strict and to discipline a lot. My parents weren’t strict at all. And sometimes because I’m really busy, it would be amazing if I had a partner that would come in and tap me out and take over and handling (the kids), you know, but it can’t happen like that.”
