Man City star Rodri has heaped praise on three English stars as he named four of the best performing players from across Europe this season.

The Spanish international picked the four players from outside Man City, with two playing at clubs who will rival them in the Champions League this season.

Rodri heaped praise on Jude Bellingham with the midfielder having shown since his £113m move from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid.

The 20-year-old has made a stunning impact, scoring 17 goals in 21 appearances for the Spanish giants this season.

Rodri also highlighted Harry Kane‘s performances since joining Bayern Munich in a £100m summer move, with the England captain’s former club also earning two selections in James Maddision and Son Heung-min.

‘I think Bellingham is doing great in Spain, Kane has adapted very well to German football also,’ Rodri said.

‘And in England I would say Maddison or Son as they are doing very good for Tottenham.’

Kane had previously been heavily linked with a move to Man City ahead of the 2021-22 season.

The England captain eventually moved to Bayern this summer, after scoring a club record 278 goals in 480 games for Tottenham.

Kane leads the Bundesliga goalscoring charts heading into their winter break, scoring 21 times and providing five assists.

Maddison had played a key role in filling the void left by Kane after joining Spurs in the summer from Leicester.

He provided three goals and five assists in the opening 11 matches of the season as Tottenham became the early Premier League pace setters.

Spurs have slipped back to fifth in the table since Maddison suffered an ankle injury in November.

Son Heung-min, who scored against Man City for Spurs this month, was also named by Rodri

Son leads Tottenham’s goalscoring charts this season with the captain netting 10 times in the Premier League.

The forward scored the opening goal as Spurs secured a 3-3 draw against Man City at the Etihad earlier this month.

Son has scored eight goals in 18 matches against Man City, helping Spurs to earn nine wins during his time at the club.

Rodri is currently with Man City in Saudi Arabia as the Treble winners aim to secure the Club World Cup.

Man City currently lie fourth in the Premier League, with Pep Guardiola’s side five points behind leaders Arsenal.
