Rihanna has received a low blow from her accountant in court, claiming she blew millions of dollars of her fortune.

Peter Gounis of Berdon LLP, who was previously employed as Rihanna’s accountant was taken to court by the singer after she claimed his poor financial advice led to her losing around $9million – approx £5million.

But her former aide has hit back at the Barbados-born beauty claiming that she squandered the money on designer clothes and extravagant parties.

Last month Riri, born Robyn Fenty, accused Gounis of influencing her to make a series of bad decisions that resulted in her losing WADS of cash.

But in new legal documents filed by Gounis during his Wednesday court appearance, he suggests that Rihanna’s loss of funds was down to reckless spending, reports New York Daily News.

The S&M singer claims he failed to warn her that her Last Girl on Earth tour would fail to make any money.

She later quite the tour to take a starring role in Battleship, which was a major box office flop.

But in the legal papers read: “Peter Gounis did not leave the tour to go act in a movie, Fenty did.”

Cara Delevingne’s former wifey, who steped out in a completely transparent lace skirt, filed a lawsuit against her former employee for gross mismanagement, claiming that his instruction left her “effectively bankrupt” by the end of 2009.

At the beginning of 2009, Riri had a fortune of $11million, but as the year drew to a close her bank balance dwindled and was left with just $2million.
